This is the 2nd crayfish party this fall for us. The Swedes love the crayfish. I think it is a little too much work for a tiny bit of meat….but I guess the main point is spending a few hours with friends, wearing the funny hats…singing the crayfish songs (oh, yes…they do have crayfish songs!) and socializing.

For the record, I don´t eat those ugly things! And I am not sure why I am the only one on the picture my husband choose to put out here. The whole party were wearing those silly hats. But I am the only one sporting one on our blog and I am next to those ugly beasts….

Mir: so you are there for the music then?
What exactly do you sing to a dead crayfish?
I couldn’t eat anything with those eyes bugging out at me either.

I thought they were pretty yummy. I would have like to spice them a bit with some Indian spices, though. They sell them here at IKEA!
P.S. We are all waiting with bated breath for Wednesday

Maxima: Well booze seems to go hand in hand with a typical crayfish party…so that helps people cope with eating those ugly things…on the other hand the song quality suffers a bit. Only 1 guy drank at this party…interestinly enough he ate the most crayfish…
Shie: Indian Spices would REALLY help. You know we found a really good Indian Buffet here in Jkpng. We still miss Taste of India though…
Christian: HAHAHAHA!

I am so excited. You are probably just getting up right at this moment and heading for the hospital.
May it be a wonderful day of uncountable blessings.
