Since I was a kid I have wanted to go to one of these museums. I finally got my chance last month and thought I would share a few pics. Some of the figures looked pretty real…others…not so much.
This is for my fellow Minnesotans. Purple Rain is alive and well over here.
Me and Bob. Mir wonders how many people put that hat on before me….Ewwww.

Haha! I’ve always wanted to go to one of those as well. Thanks for getting Gandhi in there! Wow they even got the chest hair on Prince
And that last picture surely deserves at least some bunny ears…
I was thinking - Is everything wax, I mean the clothes, mike, bicycle, podium??

Was there a wicker on top any of them?

Ha! No wick that I could see.
Just the people are wax, the clothes are all real, and they have wigs on. Some of them were very life-like…but Mr Bush, Oprah and Mel Gibson all looked kind of fake.
I totally regretted not posing with Ghandi, Nelson Mandella, and the Dali Lama…what a cool pic that would have been.
As for the last one, I did see a few bunny ears. I don’t think he is too popular in Amsterdam.

Wow, they look so real! Now I want to go to one of these museums! Do they show how they make them too? Great pictures!

No, they didn’t show how they make them unfortunately. I think they kidnap celebrity look alikes, sedate them, then dip them in hot wax repeatedly…
