We had a little bit of summer in 2007, most warm days clustered right at the beginning… May or early June. Then came the rain and never really left. All the rest of our summer and the fall months were well… fall like. Then came what is usually winter months but the fall weather stayed. Raining, no sun, clouds, NO sun!
We haven´t had any winter, just dark rainy and windy days. And then came Spring! Wonderful spring with sun and warmth. The days are longer and it doesn´t feel like walking around at night all of the time.
Last Sunday (the Sunday before Easter) was wonderful. We took a long walk and brought some coffee. I tried to capture the sun playing in the water running in the ditch next to the road. Our camera batteries died just then so I had to use Sam´s cellphone camera…
We walked through the forrest and enjoyed the view from above Jönköping.
It all seemed like a great start for Spring and the nice summer we are all expecting this year.
But NO! Things are not the way they used to be. There is no order in nature anymore. From fall to spring and now to winter. We get the first of winter at the end of March. Monday morning, the day after our nice forest walk and the first picnic of the year, we woke up to snow, cold, and ice! It hasn´t left us since. Who knows maybe we will have winter in the summer now? Nature, the climate, it is not what it used to be!

I suppose you are sorry now that you(speaking as a country) invited Al Gore to stop by. Look what mixed up weather he brought with his ‘crazy’ ideas!
We got 4 inches of snow on Friday….but we did not even shovel the driveway. It is still there but with 40’s promised for M-F this week…..it should melt.
I hope you get sunshine soon. It feels so good on the face.

Visst kanns det kymigt? I LONG for summer even with its’ pollen causing itching and sneezing. This winter has been way too long! The small patches of greenery exposed from melted snow is not green it’s brown and gray here. Thanks for the pictures and the fun story.

Isn’t it the truth! For Easter we had our largest snowfall since Christmas Day. It made for a really odd Easter! It seemed strange that we were dining on ham, instead of turkey!!

However, it’s comforting to know that snow that comes this late won’t stay long. It’s just the final death shakes of winter!

We feel your pain here in the states. Winter just doesn’t want to give in. Easter didn’t even feel like Easter it felt more like Thanksgiving! All though John thought it would be really funny to hide white Easter eggs for the kidos at Jonas and Shiloh’s house.I told him that would be cruel:) Hope Spring comes your way!!!

It has been the same way in Switzerland. Luckily the snow is gone now though (mostly). I like seeing all the pictures you guys take! Keep your chins up… summer is on the way!
