Since “American” football is such a non deal here, I was surprised that they were broadcasting the big game! Of course with the time zone differences, it started at midnight. But it was live and it was football so I was determined to see it!
Earlier on Sunday I went to the grocery store with my wife and bought pretzels, doughnuts, candy, ect. in anticipation of my own “superbowl party”. I took cat naps all day on Sunday so my batteries would be fully charged. And finally the moment arrived! My wonderful wife stayed up and watched the opening drive with me.
The halftime show had Tom Petty which was GREAT! They have all been pretty old school acts since the whole Janet Jackson episode. I think they have been playing it safe.
My team lost. (which is kind of a Superbowl tradition for me) But I did have fun jumping around and cheering. (quietly) I think I must be getting old, because I really didn’t feel like eating all of that junk food at 2:00 AM.
Finally at 4:15 I crawled into bed.

I was so excited that they showed the game over here for my husband. I really don´t care for football but I love pretty much all other sports…
Last night I woke up about once very hour. At 2am I had been in bed for an hour and when I woke up I wa so disoriented that I sat up and wondered how I could find out what time it was. I was worried since I thought I would be late for work. My digital alarmclock was right next to me but somehow I was searching for my cellphone before I realized that maybe checking the alarm clock would do just fine! I think I am about as tired as my husband will be today!

ohhhhhhhh Yes, Tom Petty was just great!
And the ending of the game was great too….maybe I should add that my grandmothers maiden name is Manning, so the right team won. But they certainly had to earn it. And I love it that big brother Payton Manning and little brother Eli Manning won back to back Superbowls.
So….what was your favorite commercial?
Mine was the very dorky girl with the pink cowboy boots who used cashew (phermones)nuts to feel sexy. ohhhh that was hillarious.
Mir: that is so funny about the clock thingy. Next time, have Sam wake you up every hour and tell you what time it is. hehehehehe

Sam, so glad you could watch the game. Unfortunately, I am not one bit sorry that the Patriots lost!! Although, it is pretty ironic that they had a no loss season then lose the big one!
Maxima: I did like that cashew ad. She was funny. I also enjoyed the Timberlake ad. Pretty clever. Most the Bud Light ads I could have done without! The Tide coffee stain one was fun as well.

HAHA! We didn’t see the commercials during the game so we had to check them out on YouTube! Thanks for the tips, Mir and I laughed at them both!
Did you see this by the way?

My favorite is called Planters (unibrow). Still my favorite. My second fav is Gatorade (thirsty dog). CareerBuilder had a cleaver one with the heart. The Garmin (Napoleon) was written by a local man in a coffee shop here by himself. Cleaver. Tide coffee stain was said to have some Swedish words in it. Let us know if that is true. Even if not true…it was another good one.

HAHA! I liked the dog one..It made me think of Mona. As for the stain…I had a hard time hearing what it was saying…I think it was just babble, although I think he said “fyra” which is 4…not sure if it was anything…
