As I wrote in my last blog, our plan was no Christmas food, no gifts, just relaxation. The thing is we sort of had a change of heart. We were in the grocery store on Sunday afternoon to buy food for the holiday. Looking around we both felt the urge to go traditional on the food.

There we have it, specialty suasages, meatballs, ham, special Christmas pop. Some items are clearly missing but we got the basics. Sam wanted crackers and cheese because that´s the tradition in his family. Of course a lot of candy, chocolate and cookies (thanks to Maxima). We made some phonecalls talking with family so we still felt connected. All in all, we had a good time.

For those of you who can´t read Swedish I have to share this story from my sisters blog:

My sister and her three year old son were watching the Grinch who stole Christmas (Jim Carrey). When they started watching it had already been going for a while, but my nephew got into it and understood the premise. Suddenly he started to cry. My sister thought that he most have become scared of the scary looking and mean Grinch. She shut off the sound and carried him to the bedrum. As she was holding him in her arms trying to comfort him and asked “Why are you crying honey?”

“I feel so sorry for the green cat. I feel sorry for him because they don´t want him”
