I am pretty sure that it didn´t really happen back then but it was tragic in a funny kind of way when it happened now. When I came home from work one day Sam told me that he have to glue one of the pieces together from our manger set. I think he was a bit worried over how I would react because I really like this set, mostly because the cow looks so funny with his eyes popping out. At first Sam was heistant in telling me exactly what had happened. Well… the star fell on top of the wise man and I think the myrrh fell out of his hands. The ironic thing is that it fell ontop of the poor magi that already has his back crooked, sort of bent forward, hands extended, as he is offering his gift…
Maybe there is an object lesson in here somewhere, about giving and receiving, hands extended, being humble???
Obviously I got batteries… or rather, I found some in a drawer. Usually you can find stuff you need in what is commonly known as the “junk drawer” where pretty much everything gets tossed when you don´t know where else to put it or don´t have time to put it where it belongs.

Great story! Poor Sam though, being so hesitant about telling you. Have you gotten mad before when something has broken? Is that a funny story too or best not told?!?? I love the pictures as well. Your home looks so cosy!

Haha, Yes… it did happen before… and I think that is why he is so hesitant because that thing still comes up even though it happened in our first year of marriage! Hihi

It really is no big deal, I think you kinda had to be there…But it does come up quite often. Usually when we do laundry.
I destroyed Mirs favorite shirt. No matter how many times we tried replacing it, it never fit or looked quite like “that one.”
Of course, the store stopped making that shirt design and color. So the hunt is still on to replace the shirt…

haha! Yeah and if I found an identical shirt I probably wouldn´t like it anymore… but I am scarred for life!

Oh!!! I see a new competition coming!!! If you have a photo of the t-shirt, you should scan it and publish it here, then see whom of your readers can find a t-shirt that looks the most like the one you lost! The winner gets the great satisfaction of restoring Mirjam´s scar and setting Sam free of any possible lingering feeling of guilt! Come on, you guys! Scan it!

Oh.. but it wasn´t a t-shirt. It was a dress shirt. For some reason it went into the hots and then into the tumble dryer even though the tag said otherwise!

Sam, I´m with you on the recommendations part. I wash my black dry clean pants in 60 degr Celsius (hot). It works!
Not all the time though… Evidently.
I have a suggestion…

Blogs: where we air out our dirty laundry!

Here´s my suggestion:
All the readers of this blog should freehandedly draw a picture of how we all think Mirjam´s shirt looked like before the wash, then send it as a card to her to make up for her loss! Come on! Let´s get the pens and paper out and make sure their mailbox gets full with shirt cards from all over the world!
