I don´t really remember when I last made a blog post. Thought it was about time to write about something. I guess the reasons are many why I haven´t written much lately. One major thing is that I have so much going on at work and I am back in school. I feel like my life is full of tasks and stress so I don´t have anything interesting to share.

I flipped throug some pictures we have to see if any stories would come alive. And sure enough! I love this memory from when we visited my brother and his family.

feeding the ducks with rocks

This is my niece and nephew by the water close to their house. It was the end of October and the wind had a bite. David loves the water and was begging his father permission to swim. The innocence of children. They remember the warm weather, the sun, and the nice dip last summer. Somehow they think it lasts. The water and fun would be the same as last time. I love their optimism!

it is much colder than it looks

Jonas complained that he was tired of looking at my church-rooster. Sorry. It has been a pretty hectic week. Mirjam was in Örebro for the last few days while I was studying frantically for 3 tests and last weekend we were in Lund. Anyway, I was having a tough time coming up with a topic to blog about, so I browsed my cell phone for a few pics.

The first one is a pic I snapped at a friends house. It was at a birthday party and there were maybe 25 Swedes there. The food was wonderful. But I had to take a picture of the buffet table at the end of the night. You will notice that there is exactly one of everything left. That’s because Swedes never take the last of anything.

I like this one. Mir and I took a walk through a large cemetery during “halloween”. There were thousands of candles everywhere.

Jonas this one is for you buddy. Since you nudged me to update our blog, here is a picture of Mir and Andy in your hometown bakery….mmmm. We had a REALLY good fika.

I was walking by a state church a few weeks ago and noticed this on top of the steeple. A rooster? Not sure what the spiritual significance would be here… Any theories?

This morning Sam and I were just laying in bed talking and joking around.

Mir: Sam you just bring out the bully in people

Sam: Cause I am so nice?

Mir: Yes!

Sam: I am being just like Jesus.

Mir: Get off that pedestal before you get struck with lightning… (laughing)

At this point Sam makes some remark that it wasn´t “someone else” putting him on that pedestal and that he knows the whole Bible by heart. I had to test this and asked him… well what does it say in Micah chapter 2 and verse 1? Sam starts rambling off some verse he learned when he was young. I knew he just qouted what ever came to mind and it could not be from Micah 2!

So I pick up my Bible to sort of prove him wrong… and sure enough! He was wrong, but the verse was so perfect for this morning discussion. We both started laughing!

Micah 2:1 “Woe to those who scheme iniquity,
Who work out evil on their beds!
When morning comes, they do it,
For it is in the power of their hands.”
