Varberg
One of the cool places we went to on our trip was Varberg´s fortress. It is cool and old with all of the great things a fortress should have. Like a moat, fake canons, herbal garden that the monks would care for and buildings inside the fortress where people would live during a siege.

It is bordering the sea and has been owned and captured by the danes, the swedes, the danes and the swedes. Sort of back and forth through out the centuries.

There are actually people living in these houses. There are som signs outside saying “private”. There is a youth hostel in the fortress too. It is usually windy up there but the view is really cool.

B&B in Skåne
It has been a full week since Sam´s parents landed in Copenhagen. It is hard to catch up on the blog with everything we have done.

I´ll just start with the first couple of days. We stayed at two different B&B in the southern most part of Sweden. They were located in the traditional farm houses from that region. They are white and the different buildings are built in a square mostly to keep the wind out as much as possible.

We also went to Lund where my brother and his family lives… now. You know the family that just moved away from us, with the little white dog.

We had a great time hanging out with them eating at a great restaurant. Great steaks! Great ceasar sallad and I think Rebecka even had wild boar.
After dinner we found a coffee shop and brought out the award winning chocolates we had bought earlier at a chocolataire. We had a great taste testing.

Andy took Sam, Nancy & Jim to his office and they got to try out the XBOX game guitar hero…
Counting down the hours
Sam´s parents will be landing in Denmark in less than 12 hours. We are now hustling to get everything worked out in terms of getting the car so we can go down there and pick them up.
I am surfing the internet to get info about what route is best to take from Malmö. Should we just take the car and pick them up, or should we take the train? The last stressful planning and puzzle pieces but oh how fun!
We can´t wait to show them our new lives over here. I can´t wait to go to Skåne. It is really hard to explain how important that part of the country is to me! I get to show it and I get to spend a few days there.
We are very excited!

Paintin
Last weekend we spent with my sister in her new apartment. We painted pretty much every room in a new or, in some cases, several new colors.

It is always fun to do practical things together, to really work. Sam and I got to meet my sisters new coworker that also helped out.
On a totally different topic… the other week there was a choir visiting our church. Apart from singing great!!! I was really amazed at the height of the director. Seriously, standing on the floor he was as tall as the people on the highest back steps. The person on the front line to the left is also pretty tall, as she is standing on the floor instead of the steps.

Morning cup of coffee

I laughed out loud today when I noticed someone altered the statue by our apartment. I usually bike past this several times per week. This time was different though, maybe it had something to do with it being so early in the morning.

Referrals
Thank you Jonas & Shie… we are getting most referals from your blog. It is actually really fun to watch the stats. What words people have search on to get to our page etc. I am not sure why so many came to our page with the words goat and spongebob. I suppose me writing this entry won´t help that matter….
