I know we have been blogging a lot about the great candy over here. We pretty much always have candy at home. I love it and have become something of a sugar addict. Of course I get all angry with Sam for buying new candy all the time and filling up our bowl. But I keep coming back for more.
I haven´t been to the dentist in exactly 2 years! I used to go twice a year in the US. We have universal health care over here but dental is not included for some reason. I usually have one cavity every other year. In the US that has been the cycle. Since moving to Sweden I eat way more candy and cookies than ever before. I also haven´t been to a cleaning for a while so I just KNEW that was BAD news.
I set up an appointment - while waiting for the date to come I have had nightmares about my teeth falling out. I seemed to feel that cavity sensation in one of my back teeth.
Seriously, I love going to the dentist. I always found it relaxing. Even when they drilled without getting numbed first. But I was a bit worried this time.
It all took about 40 minutes, x-rays were taken, exam, cleaning, and I was out of there. No problems. Not a hint of a cavity. I won´t have to come back until another year. It all costed about 50 dollars.
I was amazed!
In an upcoming blog I will write about what I do to take care of my teeth one thing is for sure, I don´t hardly ever drink pop anymore…

What good news, Mir. Those candies look good to me! Like you, I enjoy candy, and like you, I have frequently found the dental chair to be a relaxing place. Keep on with your love of Sweden’s candy. It must be good for you. I have read that soda pop is poison for the teeth.

Good for you, Mir! Although I think your family genes (and meticulous cleaning practices) has something to do with it! Jonas too - no cavities and he LOVES Coke and Dr. Peppar, not to mention Swedish chocolate and candy

Your teeth always looked great. Are you sure they are real? You know, dentures don’t get cavaties
