My favorite TV show is House! On Tuesdays at 9 pm I am glued to the TV watching channel 4. It is about this doctor named House. He is always sort of grumpy, mostly mean, always right to the point, never sugar-coating anything. His specialty is infections that nobody knows what they are. Of course, he has a team around him which adds to the drama. It is not very reality based but hey… I LOVE this show. What´s not to like about a mean cranky doctor with a bum-leg causing him to be addicted to vicodin. In Sweden we are still on the first season so please don´t spoil it!!!
Any one else out there liking this show or something else?

Brian really likes this show. I couldn’t get into it. It seemed like the same episode over and over to me. He does something that ‘goes against the rules’ of modern medicine and saves someone. More power to you guys who like it though… just not my thing.

I loooooooooove House! I used to watch it all the time in season one then it was moved to another time slot and up against something really good but I can’t remember. Anyway I got out of the habit of watching it. I still catch episodes once in awhile or a rerun that I did not see and I still love it. What I like is I can’t usually guess what the ending is. I can do that with alot of other shows. This is really good.
Lately, I have been watching a ’sleeper’ called Brothers and Sisters. It has Sally Field as the mom, Calista Flockheart as a sister(duh), Tom Skerritt as the (dead) dad but there are flashbacks because he really screwed up alot of things before he died. It is an LA family that looks normal on the outside but goes through lots of things we all do in our families…..not the wacko stuff of movies but stuff on your block kind of things. Each actor is really really good. And the writing is really really good. But they keep moving it around and sometimes it is not there for a month. KW emailed me of the Sunday episode or I would have missed it. I wish I could put the link here but I need Blips to help me with that. So, just google Brothers and Sisters TV show and it is the first one that comes up……check it out. Oh yeah, it has Rob Lowe who has the most sexy chin line in Hollywood
I quit watching Studio 60, which is written by Allen Sorkin(?) who did West Wing. It just was lame.

I have to (partially) agree with Jay. House is basically the same format every episode. But, I really get a kick out of him snarking at everyone.
I don’t think I have heard of Sleeper. It might be here but under a different name…

Yeah.. but he doesn´t go AGAINST modern medicin he just goes about it from a different angle. Like most shows… it is the same format in each episode. Like CSI, L&O, NYPD Blues, etc.. but it is each case and the life stories that makes it interesting. And yes!!!! The meaness! Love the meaness. Sarcasm is funny!

I love House! You’ll love the second season. I didn’t get started with it when it first came on, so I’ve just rented the first episodes of Season 1. Dr. House is mean, all right. Yet, he commands a lot of respect because he’s brilliant. I think his team all have a love/hate relationship with House.

Yes! Exactly Irish! That is just it. He is all mean but Hugh is such a great actor that you can tell he is all kind and caring underneath! Mean… keep a distance. Yet caring but don´t want to let others know how much because then there would be no focus on the work at hand.

Japp, Houses elakhet funkar. Men tyvärr bara på teve…så “don’t try this at home”…

Yeah vic. I wouldn´t want him for a doctor or a boss! Like him on TV that is safe but in real life I would probably hate him! Strange… maybe because we identify more with him. He says and does what we wish we could say… or think about doing but don´t.

Oh Sam….can you get Shark? New show about a prosecutor in LA who used to be a big time defense attorney who had lots of ’shady’ clients and got them off. Now he convicts these same kind….and is rarely on the up and up BUT makes sure he gets away with it and is quite sassy about it. You are gonna love that one too!

Yeah…I have seen billboards around town about it. Not sure what night it is on…but I know it is coming!

Hey Mirjam- I worked with you in the US before we moved to Norway. Nice to see everything is going well with you two. Things have been wonderful for us– no regrets.

Mirjam I totally agree with you! I LOVE House! I am also glued to the TV when it is on and I own the first two seasons on DVD. I love them! His dry/sarcastic sense of humor and how he deals with things is great to watch.
