Sam had to buy some of that pop named Freaky Fläder. (as I am writing this Sam is reading over my shoulder and informs me that he in fact did not buy the pop… Rachael and Craig did). If you read the blog this summer you might remember. Sam thought the pop tasted like the bug spray OFF. Well… the after taste of it. So he bought some to have Rachael and Craig try it.
Fläder is of course Elder in English and you can make juice out of either the flower or the little black berries that grow on the bush or tree.

You know maybe your unto something Sam. It tastes like the bug spray off you say. Maybe that is what we need to try here in the summer. Sounds like drinking it would be easier than trying to spray enough of it on.

I think your dad is on to something. It is fighting bugs from the inside out. Great invention.

I just updated myself on your last several entries. Glad you had such a happy time with family. That is precious time.
Those desserts look delicious! I’m sure that the meats and fish were really good, too.

Hey! I love your blog! So much fun. One of Shiloh’s favorite fruits from back home is called “leechy”. It’s kind of like a plum that you have to peel with a big seed in the middle. When it is ripe it is very juicy. Here is the kicker. It tastes just like elderberry! She loves it. Whenever I buy elderberry juice from IKEA I have to share…
Miss you guys!
